This is another extremely high quality jacket from Ridgeline. The fit is perfect and I especially like that the neck is a good size so I can actually wear it comfortably zipped up. Unlike so many manufacturers, the sleeves are long enough, which is another positive. This jacket is for working in, not just walking in, so proper sleeves are important. The material is quite heavyweight but the fabric doesn’t really rustle so it doesn’t look or feel too much like a waterproof, however it absolutely works against a good downpour. The double zip is great for comfortably sitting in vehicles, and because it doesn’t go all the way to the bottom of the jacket, gives you plenty of movement without restriction when bending down etc

For me, the only improvement would be a more substantial way to stow the hood. The single toggle is just a bit naff and while it works it doesn’t let you stow the hood neatly. A minor issue indeed.

All I need now is to get some waterproof over trousers.
