The College gained an ‘Outsanding’ Ofsted inspection in September 2017 confirming our first rate standards of care. We have also recently invested £80m on specialist facilities and resources. All this significantly improves the chances of our students gaining employment in their desired industries.
The Countryside department, in particular, the Game Management students, has benefitted greatly from our association with Ridgeline. Ridgeline clothing stands up to all the activities which our students undertake from practical work like predator control and habitat improvement work to shoot days on grouse moors and lowland pheasant and partridge shoots. Introducing Ridgelines Ambassador Hannah Jackson.
Hannah is a first generation farmer who grew up near Liverpool and swapped the city life for the Lake District hills to learn how to farm. Since then she has built up her own successful contract shepherding business, and got her own small holding with 120 commercial sheep and 4 highland cattle and built her own brand ‘red shepherdess’.
Last year she was shortlisted in the top 3 for young farmer of the year. She recently was one of the first women to compete of channels 4s SAS Who Dares Win, getting through to the final.

Diarmuid Farmer Founder of Red Ranch Bushcraft in Northern Ireland |

Diarmuid Farmer is the founder of Red Ranch Bushcraft in Northern Ireland and has been an avid supporter of Ridgeline for a number of years.
He teaches Bushcraft skills to a wide audience and has a wealth of knowledge which he has built up over the years. Diarmuid has built his reputation throughout the Bushcraft world through being honest, straight talking and without the need to overstate his ability.
Being a family man he loves to get his family and friends involved in his passion for the outdoors and you will often see them together around the camp fire. Also known as Wooly of the YouTube channel Wooly’s World you will see him putting his skills to practice and sharing his knowledge to a larger audience.
